Students paint at Fuerza’s event Nov. 2 in the H.U.B. in celebration of Dia de los Muertos, also know as Day of the Dead.

Students work on their paintings. The Day of the Dead is a two-day holiday that reunites the living and the dead. Families create offerings to honor their departed family members. The offerings are believed to encourage visits from the Land of the Dead as the departed souls hear their prayers, smell their foods and join the celebrations.
