12:19 a.m. — Field House — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to the Field House for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, the building was in full alarm. A burnt heater motor in room 037 caused a smoke detector to activate in the room. The area was cleared and the alarm was reset. A service report was filed.
1:32 a.m. — Whiteface Hall — University Police responded to Whiteface Hall for a report of an intoxicated student who may have been given an unknown pill at an off-campus location. The student initially declined to go to the hospital; however, she agreed to go a few hours later. A service report was filed. A copy was provided to the Student Health Center.
2:46 a.m. — Broad Street — Plattsburgh City Police arrested John T. Buchanan, of 66 Broad St., and charged him with a violation of the Plattsburgh city noise ordinance. He was released on an appearance ticket.
3:17 p.m. — Harrington Hall — While in Harrington Hall for an unrelated matter, Officers observed a utility knife on a desk in the room. The knife was seized. College charges were forwarded on the resident of the room. A service report was filed.
6:33 p.m. — Macomb Hall — A student reported his cell phone stolen from his room in Macomb Hall. The incident is being investigated. A crime incident report was filed.
8:01 p.m. — Macdonough Hall — A student reported receiving unwanted telephone calls, emails and social media contact from an unknown male. The incident is being investigated. A crime incident report was filed.
8:34 a.m. — Broad Street and Draper Avenue — An “Open House” sandwich board was reported stolen from the intersection of Broad Street and Draper Ave. The suspect in the theft was identified and returned the sign to University Police. The sign was returned to its owner. A crime incident report and college charges were filed.
1:00 p.m. — Memorial Hall — An off-campus student reported being bullied while she was at Memorial Hall. The bullying has also been reported to the campus’ affirmative action officer and Title IX coordinator. Investigation is ongoing. A service report was filed.
1:46 p.m. — University Police — A Mason Hall staff member reported a possible domestic incident that occurred Nov. 1. The incident involved two resident students. University Police are investigating. A service report was filed.
10:50 p.m. — off campus — A student reported that she was concerned for the welfare of an off-campus student. University Police contacted the Plattsburgh City Police. City officers made contact with the student and transport was not required.
9:19 a.m. — Moffitt Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Moffitt Hall. The building was in full alarm and had been evacuated. A smoke detector located on the fifth floor had been activated by dust caused by contractors working in the building. The alarm system was reset. A service report was filed.
3:00 p.m. — Macomb Hall — University Police received an early alert submittal reporting that there was tension between a resident student and his roommate. University Police spoke with the student. There was no threatening behavior involved. The student was offered and declined temporary housing. The residence hall staff are aware of the situation. A service report was filed.
3:38 p.m. — University Police — An employee reported that she has a temporary order of protection. Human Resources is aware of the situation. Safety services wewre offered and safety planning was reviewed. A service report was filed.
8:12 a.m. — Redcay Hall — An employee reported that a doorknob to an office at Redcay Hall was loose and that there were tool marks on the doorknob. University Police and a campus locksmith responded. The tool marks appeared to be old. There was no sign that access had been gained. The doorknob was tightened. A service report was filed.
12:40 p.m. — Wilson Hall Grounds — An employee reported that hydraulic fluid from a garbage truck had sprayed on her vehicle while it was parked in the Wilson Hall service area. The employee was advised to contact the trash removal company and file a claim. A service report was filed.
7:00 p.m. — Macdonough Hall — A resident student requested assistance with getting some clothing back that she had left in another student’s room. University Police spoke with the occupant of the room and she returned a pair of shoes. The occupant stated that she left the other items outside the student’s door. A service report was filed.
4:08 p.m. — Court Street — Student filed a complaint of a possible Internet scam that was sent to her via Craigslist. No money or property was lost as a result of this scam. Student desired to make UPD aware of the scam. Craigslist was notified. A service report was filed.
8:21 p.m. — Hood Hall — A resident student reported the theft of laundry from the Hood Hall laundry room. A crime incident report was filed.
1:20 p.m. — Parking Lot 16 — A visitor to campus reported the rear license plate stolen off their vehicle while it was parked in lot 16. A crime incident report was filed.
3:20 p.m. — Macomb Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to Macomb Hall for a fire alarm. Candles in a room set off the smoke detector. Drug paraphernalia was also located in the room. The alarm was reset. A service report and college charges were filed.
