1:27 a.m. — Banks Hall — University Police responded to a report of an intoxicated resident student at Banks Hall. The student was intoxicated and was transported to CVPH via ambulance. A service report and college charges were filed.
2:51 a.m. — Whiteface Hall — University Police and the Plattsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Whiteface Hall. The building was in full alarm and had been evacuated. A smoke detector in a fourth floor garbage room had been activated for no apparent reason. The alarm system was reset. A service report was filed.
9:07 p.m. — Wilson Hall —University Police arrested Jay D. Chawla of 61B Wilson Hall and charged him with unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds. He was released on an appearance ticket.
10:51 p.m. — Angell Center — University Police responded to the Angell College Center for a report of smoke coming from an outlet. There was no smoke upon arrival. The outlet appeared to have been damaged by excessive heat. Central Heating Plant personnel responded and shut off power to the outlet. A service report was filed. Maintenance and Operations was notified.
8:06 a.m. — Feinberg Library — An employee reported finding beer bottles in some second floor carrels at Feinberg Library. University Police checked the area. The library staff was advised of the report. A service report was filed.
10:24 a.m. — Parking Lot 2 — University Police responded to a property damage accident in lot two. A motorist backed into a college-owned moving truck that was traveling through the lot. No injuries were reported. Service and accident reports filed.
2:01 p.m. — on campus — A resident student reported that another resident student mimics his tic to annoy him. University Police spoke with the student and he said he would cease contact with the reporter. A service report was filed.
2:58 p.m. — Banks Hall — The resident director of Banks Hall reported that a resident student had posted comments on Facebook that caused some concern. The posts were not suicidal or threatening in nature. A service report was filed.
12:30 a.m. — Parking lot 18 — University Police stopped to check on some individuals in a parked vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. A resident student turned over a pipe containing marijuana to officers. A crime incident report and college charges filed.
6:56 p.m. — Feinberg Library — University Police responded to a report that a resident student was feeling dizzy at Feinberg Library. The student stated that she was feeling better and declined assistance. A service report was filed. The Student Health Center was notified.
7:43 p.m. — Wilson Hall — University Police responded to a report of an
odor of marijuana on the third floor of Wilson Hall. University Police spoke with a resident student in his room. The student stated that he smoked marijuana outdoors earlier in the day. Officers observed a folding knife in the room. The knife was secured at University Police. No marijuana was located. A service report was filed.
10:10 p.m. — Angell Center — A resident student reported that there was a shirt hanging in the lobby of the Angell College Center with a message written on it that he found offensive. A service report was filed.
4:37 p.m. — Campus Wide — University Police conducted checks of the campus blue light telephones. A service report was filed.
1:32 a.m. — Steltzer Ave — University Police arrested Pralad Siwakoti of 115 Macomb Hall and charged him with Failure to Obey Traffic Device and Driving While Intoxicated. He was released on appearance tickets.
3:43 a.m. — Sanborn Extension — Patrol responded to Sanborn Extension to meet a Plattsburgh Police Department Patrolman who had an on-campus student in his patrol vehicle. The student appeared to be under the influence and disoriented. The student was transported to CVPH for medical attention via Plattsburgh Fire Department Ambulance. A service report and college charges were filed. A copy of the report was forwarded to the Student Health Center.
6:41 a.m. — Macdonough Hall — Patrol responded to Macdonough Hall for a complaint of criminal mischief in a bathroom. Janitorial staff reported that the bathroom had been vandalized sometime overnight. A crime incident report filed.
4:59 p.m. — off campus — A resident student reported that his cell phone was stolen from his vehicle after he was arrested during a traffic stop. The individual stated that the phone was in his vehicle when he was arrested and was missing when he went to the tow agency to retrieve items from his car. A crime incident report was filed. The individual was also advised to file a report with the New York State Police as the tow agency is outside the city.
11:51 p.m. — Harrington Hall — University Police responded to a report of an odor of marijuana on the first floor of Harrington Hall. University Police spoke with a student who admitted to smoking marijuana in her room. No marijuana was located. The room smoke detector had been covered and a folding knife was observed in the room. The knife was secured at University Police. A service report was filed. College charges were filed.

1:52 a.m. — Oak Street — Plattsburgh City Police arrested Mark A. Sottile of 105 Brinkerhoff St., and charged him with a violation of the Plattsburgh City Ordinance for Public Urination. He was released on an appearance ticket.
