Mysterious ticking noise sourced

The Angell College Center on the Plattsburgh State campus was blocked off today after University Police were notified of a suspicious package inside a mailbox making a ticking noise.

After bringing a robotic scanning device to investigate the area, law enforcement officials, including New York State Police, discovered that the source of the noise was a heart monitor running low on battery that was being mailed.

As a precaution, the ACC, Feinberg Library and areas of Myers Fine Arts building were also closed, and classes in those areas were canceled until 2 p.m.
